What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password (passwords are stored in encrypted form by our hosting provider and are never visible to us). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Profile details you choose to add: display name, photo, bio, city, state, interests, skills, profession.
- Business listing details you submit, including photos and contact information.
- Business claims and reports you submit, and a record of moderator actions.
- Insights articles and sources written by authors and editors.
- Basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider.
Photos and uploads
Photos you upload (up to 5 MB each) are stored privately and shown through secure links on the pages where you use them, such as your profile or a business listing.
Cookies and browser storage
We store your sign-in session in your browser so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this website.
Service providers
- Lovable Cloud hosts the website, database, accounts and photo storage.
- Google, only if you choose "Continue with Google".
- Account emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password reset, are sent by our hosting provider. We do not send newsletters or briefing emails at this time.
What is public
By default your email address, phone number and home address are never shown publicly. Approved business listings show only the contact details you enter for them. You can make your profile private in Settings.
How we use it
- To run the service, review listings and keep the community safe.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
You can edit your profile at any time. To delete your account, email us at joinnaijagather@gmail.com.
